If you want to work in USA, wouldn't you think it's wise to have an English website name?

Yes, it is a strange name. Purposely chosen.

The market place hodegos intends to do business in USA and in other geographic areas in which English is the language number one. However: hodegos also intends to do busines in other geographic areas. Certainly the people who created hodegos would like to please all those people by using a name which comes from the English dictionary, but then, what's to be gained? And on another note, are "Yahoo", "Google" and "Ebay" words to be found in an English language dictionary?

At the latest when it will become as normal for the users to refer to http://hodegos.com for their daily activities as it is for them to refer to for instance Google for doing a search, then it will be clear that the name of the website is actually rather irrelevant.
