Every good thing needs a name. When it became clear that the market place would be established, the drivers for determining the name were:

- unique
It has to be a unique name, un-conflicting with other businesses.

- transports a message of what the content
όδηγος is ancient Greek and has among other meanings: “a leader, a guide and an instructor of the inexperienced” and also “concert master”.

- positive
The above mentioned has mostly positive content, certainly not any negative in any known language.

- lasting
It is not uncommon to choose terms from ancient languages when the task is that it stands the test of time, since ancient languages do normally not change any more.

- pronunciation possible for a maximum of number of users, regardless their location, language, ethnicity
To pronounce [hɒdæɡɒs] correctly or as it is supposed to be is presumably possible and easy for most users.

What’s the alternative? Eventually, the business concept could perhaps have adopted any other name. Whatever the name is, the challenge is to make it known to a large number of users and make them remember the name. The choice of this name perhaps becomes less important the more known the business concept becomes in the future.
